The Agito Networks RoamAnyhwere solution is archtected to extend enterprise voice and unified communications to mobile devices. The Agito Network RoamAnywhere Mobility Router is designed to decouple mobile applications from mobile networks, allowing applications to operate across a variety of different networks, securely, seamlessly, and in a manner controlled by the business or enterprise.

End-to-End Security

Agito’s end-to-end security architecture delivers robust application layer security inside and outside the enterprise with support for Agito's Secure Remote Voice. A pluggable authentication engine allows native integration with Active Directory, LDAP and RADIUS. Certificate-based authentication and SSL/TLS encryption ensure client-side security.

Location Awareness

Location information, derived from WiFi and cellular networks, as well as from GPS, is used for handover across WiFi and cellular networks, as well as to enrich presence and Agito's award winning policy engine (see below).

Sub-100ms Handover and Mobile Network Abstraction

The RoamAnywhere Mobility Router uses the most comprehensive set of handover metrics to enable sub-100ms, automatic handover across WiFi and cellular networks. Agito's award-winning location-aware techniques for handover, coupled with policy based metrics as well as reactive metrics ensures the best possible user experience for mobile voice and UC applications. Robust Policy Framework

One of the most powerful capabilites of the Agito RoamAnywhere solution is the native Policy Framework. The administrator is able to define parameters to control every aspect of the mobile operations from the mobile phone to the PBX and UC system. Typical policies include battery life, mobile data channel (2.5G/3G) usage, home/hotspot support, dynamic call routing (for least cost routing). Policies are enforced at the appliance and client, without requiring any change in the mobile users behavior.
