It is truly the most wonderful time of the year – holidays, family, friends, reflections and resolutions, and the college football bowl season. And, for those of us in IT, it’s the time when all the best and brightest products of the past 12 months are recognized with Product of the Year honors.
Product of the Year recognition
came Agito’s way this week from eWEEK, as a result of its technical analysis and review of the RoamAnywhere Mobility Router. Agito has won almost 20 awards in 2008, and eWEEK’s recognition of the innovation and enterprise benefits of RoamAnywhere is especially gratifying since it came as a result of a technical analyst’s review and hands-on experience of the solution. Of all the products that eWEEK evaluated each week in 2008, Agito’s RoamAnywhere was judged as one of the standouts, and the best in its class, including over competing products that were reviewed.

From eWEEK’s review of RoamAnywhere v2.0
, Agito’s enterprise mobility solution was highlighted for its superior WiFi/cellular networks roaming innovation, and ability to provide superior cost savings for enterprises. The review pointed out Agito’s security capabilities, and discussed positive results of reviewing Agito’s differentiating high-availability and scaling features. A main focus of the review was the lab analysts’ testing and experience with Agito’s handoff metrics and superior methods of handing over calls between in building and cellular networks, resulting in an entirely seamless experience for the reviewer. The testing was completed successfully on Nokia and Windows Mobile (AT&T Tilt) phones. Setting Agito apart from similar solutions reviewed in 2008 was also Agito’s unique Dual Persona™ innovation – allowing the user to place calls in either personal mode – using the cell phone number – or in corporate mode, using the PBX extension.
Agito’s industry recognition in 2008 has truly been unmatched in the marketplace, making the past 12 months a wonderful time for the company, and validating the solution’s value for our growing customer base.
