With Agito’s Secure Remote Voice (SRV), the Mobility Router can provide the benefits of enhanced coverage and cost savings securely from any WiFi network, including home, hotel, and public hotspot networks.  Secure Remote Voice creates an application layer, light-weight SSL tunnel from Agito’s client on the mobile phone back to the RoamAnywhere Mobility Router in the enterprise data center.  Only VoIP traffic to and from the cell phone goes through the tunnel. Other applications don’t use this secure connection.

Secure Remote Voice is simple to deploy and use, and doesn’t require and change in behavior on the part of users – everything works and behaves the same on enterprise WiFi, cellular, and home/public WiFi networks.  All of the desk phone and PBX features as well as Agito’s award-winning sub-100ms, automatic handover on remote WiFi networks are supported, so no functionality is sacrificed.  Users are no longer forced to use their Softphones to make business calls from home.

Unlike traditional mobile VPN solutions that are very complex to setup and require significant admin and user intervention, Secure Remote Voice is simple to setup and communicates over the ubiquitous SSL protocol using well-known firewall policies.  SRV operates at the application layer, and with support for high-encryption ciphers up to AES-256, the solution preserves maximum security, while maximizing simplicity and usability, eliminating any requirement for a CPE.
